ExxonMobil enters the LNG marine bunkering market
ExxonMobil is entering the liquefied natural gas (LNG) marine bunkering market, initially with two dedicated LNG bunker barges, marking a strategic expansion into this growing sector.
Evolving emission regulations are driving interest in alternative marine fuel formulations, which has become an increasingly vital component in the global maritime fuel mix. ExxonMobil has more than 40 years of global experience in LNG, which leaves us well positioned to create innovative integrated solutions. We can leverage our competitive advantages in integration and scale to serve marine customers.
ExxonMobil remains dedicated to helping vessel operators safely and effectively transition to lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emission fuels. That is why we are entering the LNG marine bunkering market - to provide solutions that may help customers reduce lifecycle GHG emissions compared with conventional marine fuels, such as HFO, VLSFO and MGO.1
